Prabowo-SBY Holds a Routine Meeting of the Coalition Party
Kolom Utama. Prabowo Subianto, presidential candidate number 02 with Sandiaga Uno, held a meeting with Democratic Party Chairperson Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). The regular meeting lasted for approximately two hours which was a routine meeting of the Prabowo-Sandiaga Uno coalition party supporters. From our speakers, the meeting was allegedly discussing the KPK Strengthening Strategy
Prabowo only stated, during the meeting SBY gave many inputs. However, he did not explain in detail the results of the meeting, whether he was given an entry or even asked for entry. Prabowo only said "enter", when he was questioned by our party, at Jalan Mega Kuningan Timur VII, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, on Thursday 10 January 2019.
Prabowo also did not say whether the discourse from SBY had a connection or not, with the first debate of the vice presidential candidates that would soon be held. Prabowo only said, if he and SBY met were commonplace, because Gerindra and Democrats were parties that were in coalition at the 2019 election
"As a coalition, we have to talk," said Prabowo
Besides that, Sudirman Said, Director of Material and Debate of the National Winning Body, Prabowo-Sandi, said that Prabowo and SBY would meet more frequently, ahead of the initial debate. Their meeting was to give advice on what Prabowo should do, so he could win the election of the president.
"Pak SBY and Pak Prabowo agreed to continue to meet regularly towards April 17 because they are both friends as candidates and coincidental one coalition so he will continue to provide input," said Sudirman Said, when interviewed by our reporter in Mega Kuningan, on Thursday January 10 2019.
Sudirman Said also assessed this situation to reach a view. That view will be used as a material basis for Prabowo's party to face the debate. The view that is considered the same between SBY and Prabowo is the similarity of the atmosphere felt by them in legal, economic, and social injustice that is happening in the community
"That must be a guideline, so that the debate material is directed at how to answer how to find solutions to injustice," Sudirman explained
During the meeting, SBY did not provide input regarding the issue of what would be issued during the debate. SBY only gave the principles of good communication. In addition, it was discussed about efforts to weaken what happened to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
